Lyon Select is a family-owned business specializing in the trading of premium fresh fruit and vegetables. Located at the Lyon-Corbas wholesale market, the leading private fruit and vegetable market in France, the company has established itself as a benchmark player, with more than 32,000 tonnes sold each year.
Founded in 1984 at the Perrache station market in Lyon by Alain Boucharlat and his wife Elyane, the company joined the Lyon-Corbas wholesale market in 2009, marking a new phase of development. From 2017, the second generation, made up of Thierry Freydière and Laurent Narbonnet, took over the management and accelerated the group’s growth through several structuring initiatives: the launch of the Lyon Select – Ekval brand, the achievement of Organic Farming certification, and the expansion of its logistics infrastructure.
Today firmly established in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, Lyon Select employs nearly 50 employees and generates revenue of approximately €60m.
Its combination with Chrono Primeurs, a benchmark player at the Rungis wholesale market (MIN de Rungis), creates a leading national group in the distribution of fresh fruit and vegetables, bringing together nearly 100 employees.
