Sale of HPM to Praecisio

Praecisio (Visco, Microrectif and Micromec), an industrial group specializing in ultra-high-precision mechanics, has acquired HPM Group, a specialist in the precision machining of complex parts based in Arnas (Rhône). Completed on September 30, 2026, the transaction follows a process led by Financière de Courcelles, advisor to Guillaume de Fleurieu, majority shareholder and CEO of the Group, to the financial investors Esfin Participations, Definvest (Bpifrance), Rhône Dauphiné Développement and Mermoz, and to the management shareholders.

Founded in 2006 by Guillaume de Fleurieu through the acquisition of COMERA, CBP and EFOP, and expanded with the creation of PMT in Tunisia in 2011 and the acquisition of ERMA38 in 2022, HPM Group specializes in the high-precision machining of complex parts in small and medium batches. The Group covers the entire manufacturing process, including methods engineering, raw material procurement, machining, grinding, superfinishing, and the assembly of components and sub-assemblies, with tolerances down to 2 microns.

The Group operates four complementary industrial sites: Arnas and Pontcharra-sur-Turdine (Rhône), Claix (Isère), a site dedicated to the nuclear sector and quality-certified by Framatome, and Tunis (Tunisia) through its subsidiary PMT. It serves demanding OEMs and prime contractors in defense, aerospace & space, nuclear, medical and luxury watchmaking.

HPM Group generates revenue of approximately €20m and employs more than 120 people.

Chaired by Fabrice Doizon and led by CEO Michel Becker, Praecisio, backed by Latour Capital since 2024, brings together Visco, Microrectif and Micromec, which specialize in ultra-high-precision machining and grinding in the same end markets as HPM Group. The integration of HPM Group enables Praecisio to leverage the recognized expertise of its teams, cutting-edge technical know-how and a top-tier client portfolio, while strengthening its industrial footprint in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.

This transaction illustrates Financière de Courcelles’ ability to support owner-managers and their financial partners in sales to industrial buyers, in technical and demanding markets.
