The french group (Vendée) Atlantic acquiert Hautec Wärmepumpen. This German company, founded 40 years ago, specializes in the design and manufacture of geothermal heat pumps for the residential (individual and collective) and tertiary markets. Hautec Wärmepumpen’s turnover and workforce are not disclosed.

The offices and production facilities are located in Bedburg-Hau (North Rhine-Westphalia), a few kilometers from the Dutch border. The Atlantic group, based in La Roche-sur-Yon, is thus expanding its portfolio of brands (Atlantic, Ideal, Thermor, Sauter etc.) in thermal comfort, its offer covering boilers, water heaters, radiators, heat pumps etc. The group reached € 2.2 billion in turnover in 2020 with 10,300 employees at 28 production sites around the world. The acquisition also corresponds to the group’s priority axis, which is development in the Dach zone (Germany, Austria, Switzerland). However, the group is advancing on other fronts internationally, notably in India where it recently created a joint venture with its local partner SHIL, which holds 7.3% of the Indian water heater market. The Atlantic group, which has been operating in India since 2017 following the installation of a small capacity water heater assembly line in partnership with SHIL, plans today to increase its production capacities in this booming market. thanks to the establishment of a factory in Hyderabad in the Telangana region. It will be operational in 2022.
