Feedback from Baptiste Jouve, gap year student at IESEG – December 21, 2020:

I completed my second off-cycle internship at Financière de Courcelles as an M&A trainee. I was welcomed by a friendly team, which had a real willingness to help me improve my skills from the very beginning of my internship. I was entrusted with a wide variety of tasks, from researching information to the preparation of valuation models, as well as writing marketing documents. I learned a lot throughout the internship, both on a technical and relational level, and this confirmed my desire to start my career in M&A.

Feedback from Xuan Anh Luong, student at HEC Paris – February 23rd 2022:

I did my first internship at FDC from September 2021 to February 2022. FDC is a very good school for discovering the profession, the trainee is given a lot of responsibility and works on a wide range of subjects, allowing him/her to refine his/her knowledge of the sectors. The level of demand is high but it pushes the trainee to redouble his or her rigour and to be well organised. More specifically, I was able to take part in pitching (buy-side, sell-side, fund-raising) and Information Memorandum writing, carried out valuations and screenings of companies, and organised data-rooms. I was therefore involved in all phases of a process, often with significant exposure. At FDC, the intern works with all the members of the team, which makes the experience even more enriching, because of the diversity of backgrounds and expertise of everyone. The working environment is particularly pleasant, I enjoyed working with the Financière de Courcelles team who are caring, educational and attentive. I am very grateful for the trust the team has placed in me by recruiting me, and I can only recommend that you join FDC if you wish to discover the world of M&A alongside very competent people who have a lot to teach you. My last piece of advice: be curious and take advantage of opportunities to benefit from your internship!
