Sowell Group, one the main independent tourist operator in France, secures €15-20 million in financing to support its development plan
Financière de Courcelles acted as exclusive financial advisor to Sowell Group on the structuring of a €15-20 million financing designed to refinance part of its existing debt and set up short-term and CAPEX facilities to support its development plan, mainly through the acquisition of new hotels.
Founded in 1985 with the acquisition of the family-owned hotel in Pra Loup, Sowell Group (formerly known as Soleil Vacances) now comprises 40 hotels & residences across France, all benefiting from privileged locations in the mountains, at the seaside and in urban areas. The group generates revenue of approximately €80 million. From premium starred establishments to family holiday clubs, the group is committed to offering an increasingly personalized experience and welcomes more than 600,000 guests each year.
Sowell Group was supported by major banking partners : CEPAC, Arkéa, CECAZ and BNP Paribas, and aims to double in size by 2030.
